Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday published a video on social media platform X in which he bluntly called on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to 'get out of Ukraine'. In the video caption, he wrote: 'Russia must leave Ukraine with its war — we don't want war.'

Zelensky stated that Ukraine has already submitted proposals to its key partners and that even Putin's friends understand that a meeting is possible and the war can be ended. 'Now Russia must take a step towards peace,' the president added.

Zelensky reported that he had received a briefing on planned long- and medium-range strikes as well as on the results of the 'Alfa' special forces unit at the front. He noted that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has shown high effectiveness for several months, using various types of drones to defend Ukrainian positions.

In recent months, Ukraine has significantly expanded strikes on targets inside Russian territory and occupied parts of Ukraine, particularly targeting oil refineries, fuel depots, and other energy facilities. According to Ukrainian and Western media reports, these attacks have caused fuel supply problems in more than 20 Russian regions and have hampered Russian military logistics.

Russia has not yet commented on Zelensky's statement about a 40-day operation.
