YouTube adds new AI tools to its Studio app for creators
At its Made on YouTube event, YouTube unveiled several AI-powered features for the Studio app, aimed at helping creators analyze videos and grow audiences. The updates include feedback on unpublished drafts, dynamic thumbnails, and deeper analytics.

At its annual Made on YouTube event, YouTube announced a set of new features for its Studio app, which creators use to manage their channels. The company is expanding Ask Studio, its AI-powered question-and-answer tool, to both iOS and Android.
Feedback on unpublished videos
One new feature uses AI to review a creator's unpublished draft and offer suggestions on pacing, structure, and storytelling. YouTube is also adding a research feed within Studio that highlights what kind of content is performing well on the platform, so creators can adapt the approach to their own style.
Thumbnails and titles
Since creators tend to be particular about preview images and titles, Studio will now be able to generate thumbnails and titles automatically based on a video's content and a creator's established style. A new dynamic thumbnail feature lets creators generate three different options and show each to a different audience segment.
YouTube said creators have already run more than 40 million A/B tests on titles and thumbnails using its existing testing tool. Soon, users will be able to test up to three different video cuts to determine which opening hook performs best. Later this year, Studio will automatically monitor thumbnail performance and proactively swap one out if it underperforms.
Deeper analytics
The company is also updating its analytics tools to go beyond raw view counts, aiming to explain why videos perform the way they do and offer advice on making content more engaging. Alongside the Studio updates, YouTube also introduced conversational editing tools for Shorts and its YouTube Create app.
