Tech outlet Wired has published a 2026 guide to cooling mattresses, naming the Nolah Evolution Hybrid its top pick for side sleepers alongside several other tested cooling models.
Wired has released an updated guide to the best cooling mattresses for people who tend to sleep hot. The top pick for side sleepers is the Nolah Evolution Hybrid, which combines spinal alignment, pressure relief, and temperature-regulating features.
Design and materials
The Nolah Evolution Hybrid uses the brand's proprietary AirFoam, described as a more breathable alternative to standard memory foam, along with a gel-infused foam layer to prevent heat buildup. Pocketed coils improve airflow, and a mesh side gusset adds ventilation. The standard version comes with an organic cotton and cooling-fiber cover, while an optional GlacioTex fiber pillow top offers extra cooling, though it also adds a softer, more cushioned feel.
Depending on size, the mattress ranges in price from about $1,460 to $3,454, and it comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
