Navy Spokesperson: Kinburn Spit is now a combat zone
Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk stated that the Kinburn Spit is currently a combat zone and remains strategically important for Russian occupiers. The destruction of Russian logistics is ongoing.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, said in a comment to "Suspilne Mykolaiv" that the Kinburn Spit is now a combat zone. He emphasized that the area remains strategically important for the Russian occupiers.
Pletenchuk noted that the process of destroying Russian logistics is ongoing, sequential, and has been lasting for a long time – not the first year or even month. He added that the Kinburn Spit is currently an active combat zone.
Earlier, on June 25, the Regional Directorate of Territorial Defense Forces "South" reported that Ukrainian defenders had planted a blue-yellow flag on the Kinburn Spit and that Russian occupiers had left their positions. However, Ukrainian defenders did not confirm their presence on the spit.
A few weeks ago, the "ATESH" movement reported that Russian occupiers are leaving the Kinburn Spit, which remains the only occupied part of the Mykolaiv region and is connected by land to the left bank of the Kherson region. This was influenced by Ukrainian strikes on Russian logistics. Reports indicate that the occupiers' logistics system on this section has completely collapsed. The Russian command is pulling people from some positions and redeploying them to others. Only remnants of units remain on the spit, unable to hold defense.
