Latvia's Ministry of Health is ready to look for funding so that Latvian doctors and other medical professionals can continue experience-exchange trips to Ukraine. On these trips they gain practical experience of working in wartime conditions, while Russia's war against Ukraine continues.
Ministry state secretary Agnese Vaļuliene said this on Friday. She stressed the ministry's readiness to seek money for the purpose at a professional experience-exchange event held at Riga East Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS), one of Latvia's largest medical institutions.
The source does not say how much money may be needed, where the ministry plans to find it, or how many medics could travel to Ukraine.
