Ex-F1 driver Wehrlein claims second Formula E title amid chaotic finale
Former Formula 1 driver Pascal Wehrlein secured his second Formula E championship despite crashes and a 14th-place finish in the deciding race, while Jaguar clinched the teams' title.

Former Formula 1 driver Pascal Wehrlein has won his second Formula E championship, capping the season with a dramatic and chaotic final round.
Saturday win sets up the title fight
In the penultimate race of the season, Wehrlein led from start to finish, benefiting from both his own driving and his team's strategy. The victory allowed him to take over the championship lead with a five-point advantage over Andretti's Jake Dennis, who finished second. Jaguar's Antonio Felix da Costa took third.
Chaos in the decider
Sunday's final race turned tense. Although Wehrlein spent much of the race in a position that would have secured the title, he came under pressure from da Costa, who was trying to assist his Jaguar teammate Mitch Evans in the title battle. After contact with da Costa, Wehrlein dropped to 11th place. Attempting to recover positions, he was later involved in a collision with Joel Eriksson and Dennis on lap 32, which knocked all three out of the top ten.
Evans, running fourth, needed a win to claim the title, but ran out of time to catch the leaders. As a result, Wehrlein clinched the championship despite finishing just 14th in the final race and scoring no points.
Barnard's maiden win, Jaguar takes teams' title
In the season's last round, DS Penske driver Taylor Barnard claimed his first career victory, ahead of Nick de Vries and Edoardo Mortara. Although Evans missed out on the drivers' title and finished fourth overall, it was enough for Jaguar to secure the teams' championship.
