Seven more civilians return to Ukraine from Russian captivity
On 27 June, seven Ukrainian civilians illegally detained by Russia during occupation were brought home. They are aged 35 to 66, and were held in several regions.

Ukraine's Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets announced on Facebook that seven Ukrainian civilians returned from Russian captivity on 27 June. This was the result of coordination with his Russian counterpart, Yana Lantratova.
The freed individuals, aged 35 to 66, were detained by Russian forces during the occupation of Mariupol, in Kyiv Oblast's Bucha district, and in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk oblasts.
Lubinets highlighted specific cases: one Ukrainian was abducted from his home solely because his sons serve in Ukraine's Armed Forces. Another was seized on his way to work on the day of Russia's full-scale invasion. Among the released is a volunteer who joined the Angels of Taira brigade in Mariupol in 2022. Taira (Yulia Paievska) was detained with him that same day but was brought home earlier on 17 June 2022.
The return comes a day after Ukraine brought back 160 prisoners of war from Russia in a large-scale exchange.
