Firefighters Receive 26 Calls Over Wind Damage in Latvia

The State Fire and Rescue Service in Latvia responded to 26 incidents caused by strong winds, all involving fallen or broken trees.

Over the past 24 hours, the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) in Latvia has received 26 emergency calls related to damage caused by strong winds. According to the LETA news agency, all calls required the cutting up of fallen or broken trees that posed a threat to safety. Firefighters worked to remove the hazardous trees from roads, buildings, and other areas. Such incidents are common during windy conditions, and the service urges the public to remain cautious and report any dangerous trees.
