Wind Farm Critics Organize International and Local Opposition to Projects in Latvia

In the coming years, dozens of new wind farms are planned in Latvia to produce electricity. However, the development of these projects faces organized resistance. In various locations, events are held where warnings about the impact of wind farms on human health are voiced, reports Latvian Radio.

The opposition is both local and international – critics unite to stop or delay the implementation of wind energy projects. Such organized opposition could affect the development of planned wind farms and Latvia's goals to increase the share of renewable energy.
