Patria Latvia's New Valmiera Plant Expected to Start Production in Late Summer 2027
Production of the "Hunter" infantry fighting vehicle at Patria Latvia's new Valmiera facility is due to begin in late summer 2027. Nearly eight million euros will be invested in the project.

The new Valmiera plant of the company Patria Latvia could begin operations at the end of next summer. It is intended for the production of the "Hunter" infantry fighting vehicle, known in Latvian as "Mednieks".
The timeline was given to the news agency LETA by Uģis Romanovs, Patria's vice president for new business development, at the foundation stone ceremony for the facility. According to him, production is set to start in late summer 2027.
Nearly eight million euros will be invested in building the new plant.
The laying of the foundation stone marks the start of construction of the factory, where the combat vehicles will be manufactured.
