Several Latvian Beach Volleyball Duos Advance to Second Round of Futures Tournament Knockouts
Three Latvian women's duos secured spots in the second round of the Futures tournament playoffs on Thursday in Majori, while six out of seven men's pairs won their matches.

On Thursday, June 11, the 'Pro Beach Tour' Futures category competitions took place on the beach of Jūrmala, where Latvian athletes achieved success. In the women's tournament, three Latvian duos – Anastasija Samoilova/Tīna Graudiņa, Līva Ēbere/Deniela Konstantinova, and Monika Mamaja/Karlīna Bērziņa – won both group matches and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
Two other Latvian pairs – Paula Krieva/Alise Aleksāne and Renāte Krūklīte/Estere Zaķīte – each won one match but will face each other in the first playoff round, ensuring a total of four Latvian duos in the second round. Meanwhile, Varvara Brailko/Vanesa Grosberga and Anete Namiķe/Katrīna Leiboviča lost both matches and finished the tournament tied for 19th place.
In the men's competition, six out of seven Latvian duos celebrated victories on Thursday. The top-seeded pair Ardis Bedrītis/Artūrs Rinkevičs won, along with Edgars Točs/Gustavs Auziņš, Olivers Bulgačs/Markuss Graudiņš, Ernests Puškundzis/Toms Liepa, Matīss Šalkovskis/Kārlis Jaundžeikars, and Ernests Gūtmanis/Toms Benjavs. The only loss was suffered by Mihails Samoilovs/Mārcis Bērziņš.
On Friday, the winners will compete for first place in their groups, while the losers will play for third place and a chance to continue in the elimination rounds. Group winners automatically advance to the second playoff round, while second and third-place finishers will meet in the first round.
A total of 24 countries are represented in the tournament, including participants from Scandinavia, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Poland, Australia, Uruguay, the USA, and Canada. The event at Majori Beach will conclude on Sunday. Live broadcasts are available on the 'Go3 Open' channel and the 'Go3' platform.
