The Latvian Language Agency (LVA) has announced that more than 650 recent newcomers to Latvia have learned the Latvian language over the past three years as part of a project it implemented.

The project specifically targeted people who have been living in Latvia for a relatively short time and who need to learn the state language for daily life and integration into society.

New learning materials

Alongside the results of the language program, the agency has published new learning materials on its website, which will now be available to a wider circle of people interested in learning or improving their Latvian language skills.

LVA continues its work to promote the acquisition of the Latvian language among various groups in society, including recently arrived residents.
