Ukrainian children hone musical skills and explore Latvia at camp
For the fourth time, the Osokin Fund is organizing a camp in Latvia for children from the war-affected Chernihiv region of Ukraine. At the camp, they improve their musical abilities, relax, and perform in concerts, including the concert "Burn, Soul!" featuring Ukrainian folk music and classical pieces. The event also marked the launch of the first collection of works by Ukrainian folk poet Vasyl Stus translated into Latvian.

The Osokin Fund is organizing a children's camp in Latvia for the fourth time, bringing young talents from the war-torn Chernihiv region of Ukraine. The camp aims not only to provide respite from the realities of war but also to enhance their musical skills. The children learn, rest, and participate in various concerts.
One such concert, titled "Burn, Soul!", featured performances of Ukrainian folk music and classical compositions by these young musicians. Additionally, the event saw the unveiling of a collection of works by Ukrainian folk poet Vasyl Stus – the first translation of his work into Latvian. This initiative allows Latvian audiences to explore Ukrainian culture and support young talents affected by war.
