Ukraine's military intensified its campaign against Russia's military-industrial complex in June, achieving a new record in both the frequency and diversity of strikes, according to analysts.
Targets included the Progress plant in Michurinsk, which produces components for missile and aviation control systems, and the Zavod Elastik facility in Ryazan Oblast, which manufactures aerial bombs and artillery munitions. The VNIIR-Progress enterprise in Cheboksary, which develops navigation equipment for Iskander-M and Kalibr missiles, was also hit, as was Ekran-opticheskie sistemi, a producer of night vision devices.
Other targets included chemical plants Tolyattikauchuk and Nizhnekamskneftekhim, both listed as suppliers to Russia's defense industry, as well as the Azot chemical plant, whose products are used in ammunition production. The Voronezh semiconductor plant, which supplies electronics for missiles and air defense systems, also came under attack. Additionally, strikes were reported at the Orenburg gas processing and helium plants, and the Zatoka shipbuilding facility in occupied Crimea.
Analysts note that June was not only the most intense month but also the most diverse in terms of targets, covering missile, electronics, munitions, chemical, shipbuilding, and heavy industry sectors. Since the start of the year, at least 48 strikes have been recorded against Russia's military-industrial complex. March was the second most active month with 11 attacks, while February and April each saw seven, and January and May had five each.
