Ukrainian drone forces commander: Crimea blockade is only beginning

Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces who is widely known by the callsign "Madyar", gave an interview to Estonian newspaper Postimees in which he addressed the situation around the Crimean peninsula.

According to Brovdi, current efforts to restrict and isolate Crimea are still only at an early stage, describing it as a process that will continue and develop further. During the interview, the commander also touched on the topic of the Crimean bridge as one of the elements connected to the peninsula's isolation.

About the Unmanned Systems Forces

Brovdi leads Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, a separate military branch responsible for planning and carrying out drone operations. In recent years this unit has become an increasingly important part of Ukraine's armed forces, as drones are widely used both for reconnaissance and for strikes against Russian-controlled territories, including Crimea.
