Ukraine's bomber drones that dropped ground robots in the Donetsk counteroffensive are getting a 2.4-kg jammer against FPV drones

Ukrainian company Aura-Ukraine is completing final testing of a compact 2.4-kilogram electronic-warfare jammer, the Aura 3K mini, designed to protect Ukraine's bomber drones from FPV drone attacks.

Ukrainian company Aura-Ukraine has entered the final testing stage for a new electronic-warfare device called the Aura 3K mini. The compact system is designed to jam signals in order to protect Ukraine's bomber drones from enemy FPV (first-person-view) drones.

The new device weighs 2.4 kilograms, making it light enough to be mounted on drones without adding excessive extra load. The Aura 3K mini works by generating radio-electronic interference, making it harder for enemy FPV drones to approach and strike a bomber drone.

These are the same bomber drones that were recently used in Ukraine's counteroffensive in Donetsk Oblast, where they dropped ground robots. These drones are capable of carrying and delivering payloads, including unmanned ground vehicles, near or within enemy-held positions.

FPV drones are widely used as an attack weapon against various types of equipment, which is why defending against them has become a key priority for drone developers. The development of the Aura 3K mini shows that Ukrainian manufacturers continue to adapt electronic-warfare solutions to specific drone types, including heavier bomber drones tasked with delivering more complex payloads such as ground robots.

Once testing is complete, the new device is expected to be integrated into bomber drone designs to increase their protection in combat conditions.
