Samara region governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said an industrial enterprise in the region was hit by a Ukrainian missile strike overnight, without naming the specific facility. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media that the strike hit the Progress Center, part of Russia's Roscosmos space agency and also involved in electronics production, using Ukrainian-made Flamingo cruise missiles.

Independent outlet Astra, based on satellite imagery analysis, initially reported a workshop on fire belonging to either Progress or the nearby Aviakor aircraft repair plant. Ukrainian Telegram channels later clarified that a missile struck the main workshop at Progress, while reports of damage at Aviakor were not confirmed.

Strikes across other regions

The same night, drone attacks hit several other Russian regions. In the Moscow region, 15 drones were shot down, and two people were injured in the village of Shatura. In the Rostov region, ten drones and missiles were destroyed, leaving around 1,000 households without power in the Millerovo district. A fire broke out at an agricultural enterprise in the Penza region, and explosions were also heard near the Sevasleyka military airfield in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The attacks temporarily halted operations at airports in several cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Samara. Russia's Defense Ministry claims a total of 598 drones were shot down over 17 regions and occupied Crimea, though experts estimate roughly 10-15% of drones actually reach their targets.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russia launched 152 attack drones and decoy drones at Ukraine overnight, of which air defense shot down or neutralized 124. Strikes were recorded in 16 areas, with debris from downed drones causing damage in another.
