The poll indicates that most of the dissatisfaction stems from the economy and everyday living costs. A full 71% of Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of the cost of living — one of the highest disapproval figures recorded across all issues surveyed.
Discontent is even visible within the president's own political base: roughly four in ten Republicans view his handling of the issue critically. This suggests that concerns over high prices and doubts about whether government policy is improving the situation extend even into Trump's core support.
