German Family Dies After Falling Ill in Istanbul Hotel
A family from Hamburg, on their annual trip to Istanbul, died after being treated for nausea and dizziness at a hospital and then returning to their hotel, where their condition worsened. A court has delivered a verdict in the case.
The Bocek family arrived in Istanbul on November 9 and checked into the Harbour Suites Old City hotel. During their annual vacation, they visited restaurants, cafes, and street food stalls.
Several days later, the family members experienced nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. They were taken to a local emergency room, where doctors stabilized their condition and allowed them to return to the hotel. However, within hours of returning, the health of all family members deteriorated rapidly, and they died.
The court has now pronounced a verdict in the case, though no further details about the ruling have been released.
