Stork nest falls in front of car in Tartu County, Estonia
In Estonia's Elva rural municipality, a stork nest fell onto the road in front of a moving car, damaging its radiator. No storks were in the nest at the time.
On the morning of September 22, Estonia's Alarm Centre was notified of an incident in the village of Suure-Rakke, in Elva rural municipality, where a stork nest fell onto the road directly in front of a moving car.
According to the press service of the South Estonia Rescue Centre, the incident occurred around 9 a.m., when the nest fell together with the pole it had been built on.
No storks were in the nest at the time of the fall, so no injuries to people or birds were reported. However, the car's radiator was damaged in the incident, and coolant leaked onto the roadway.
Rescuers arrived at the scene and cleaned up the spill, after which police took over handling of the case.
