Supercomputer predicts Arsenal to win 2026/27 Premier League title

Ahead of the new English Premier League season, Sky Sports' supercomputer has produced a projected final table after running 10,000 simulations that factored in teams' recent results, summer transfer activity and bookmakers' odds.

Title favourite

Arsenal have emerged as the clear favourite to retain the title for a second consecutive season, projected to finish with 85.2 points and given a 50.6% chance of winning the championship. Manchester City are predicted to finish second on 81.4 points, with a 27.5% title probability, while Liverpool are forecast to place third on 76.8 points and a 10.2% chance. Manchester United, who finished third last season, are projected to drop to fourth this time, with a 7.3% title probability.

Surprises in the mid-table

Behind the top four, the simulation predicts some notable shifts. Chelsea, strengthened by summer signings and now led by new head coach Xabi Alonso, are projected to finish fifth, with Tottenham Hotspur sixth. Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford are expected to follow. Newcastle United, who underwent major squad changes over the summer, are projected to finish only 13th.

Relegation battle

All three promoted clubs face a tough fight to stay in the Premier League, according to the simulation, which predicts an immediate return to the second tier for Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City. Hull City carry the highest relegation risk at 81.6%, followed by Ipswich Town at 47.5% and Coventry City at 43.1%.
