Steam's Autumn Sale cuts prices on new and classic games
Steam has launched its autumn sale, offering discounts on both recent AAA releases and several older titles at bargain prices. The sale runs through October 8.

Steam's seasonal autumn sale is now live and will continue through October 8 at 1PM ET. The event includes discounts spanning both newly released titles and long-standing catalog favorites.
Among the more notable recent releases, both "Resident Evil Requiem" and "007 First Light" are discounted 30 percent, bringing each under $50. "Marathon," which developer Bungie has said it plans to keep improving into next year, is priced at $24. Meanwhile, 2024 standout "Metaphor: ReFantazio" is 60 percent off, dropping it to $28.
The sale also features a few newer, smaller titles, including the retro tech repair game "ReStory" for $16 and the stylish "Mouse: P.I. For Hire" for $23.
The steepest discounts, however, belong to older games. The isometric soulslike "Death's Door" is just $2. "The Talos Principle II" — worth playing ahead of the series' final installment next year — is $3, as is Moon Studios' metroidvania "Ori and the Will of the Wisps." For $4 apiece, shoppers can pick up either "Monster Hunter Rise" or the enduring classic "Skyrim."
