Explosions in Damascus During Macron Visit; President Safe
Two explosions rocked central Damascus during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Syria. Macron is safe and the visit continues.

French President Emmanuel Macron was meeting Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa at the presidential palace in Damascus when two explosions occurred near the Four Seasons hotel, where Macron was staying.
Syrian media, including the newspaper Al-Watan and television outlets, reported two blasts in the city center. Social media images showed a burning car and bloodstains on the street. The number of casualties is not yet known.
Security sources said one bomb was placed in a trash bin and another in a vehicle near the hotel. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The French presidency confirmed that Macron is safe and that his visit to Syria will continue as planned.
