“Izklausies redzēts” show contestants plan to donate prize money to charity
Seven contestants on the Latvian music show “Izklausies redzēts”, aired on channel 360TV, have each picked a charity to receive the €10,000 main prize if they win. The causes include children, animal shelters and victims of floods in Nepal.

The music show “Izklausies redzēts” (roughly “Sounds Seen”) is airing on Fridays on the Latvian channel 360TV. In it, well-known Latvian personalities transform into leading musicians from Latvia and around the world and compete for points. Each of the seven contestants has chosen a charity that will receive the main prize of €10,000 if they win.
The participants are actress Lelde Dreimane, singer Ieva Sutugova, musicians Ralfs Eilands and Elīna Fūrmane (DJ Ella), singer Andris Ērglis, hip-hop artist Krisy (Kristiāna Skrudupa) and actor Maksims Busels. The winner will be decided by the total points gathered across all episodes.
Where the money would go
Ralfs Eilands wants to help children with mobility impairments walk with the aid of robotic rehabilitation devices at the “Poga” centre. Maksims Busels would give the prize to the Children's Hospital Foundation to support children with cancer.
Two contestants chose animal shelters: Krisy would back the association “Juglas dzīvnieku aizsardzības grupa”, while Lelde Dreimane would support the animal protection society “Ar sirdi delnā”. Dreimane said the cause is very personal to her and that animals give unconditional love, loyalty and joy.
Ieva Sutugova intends to donate to seven-year-old Emma Poiša, who has an autism spectrum disorder and needs funds to attend ABA therapy sessions. According to the source, it is harder to obtain therapy funding for children after the age of seven than for younger ones.
Elīna Fūrmane would give her potential winnings to those affected by the floods in Nepal, a tragedy that has touched her personally. Andris Ērglis wants to support children's education by funding musical instruments for the music class of Dzērbene comprehensive and music primary school.
Final and weekly donations
In the final, the three contestants with the highest scores will compete for the main prize. Contestants also contribute weekly: each week's winner directs the prize received to their chosen cause. The show airs on Fridays at 20:45.
