In preparation for upcoming elections, the Latvian Radio News Service has launched a study of foreign experience and specific cases where digital tools have been used to influence voter choices.
This time, the focus is on social media bots, trolls, and fake pages. These tools are used to manipulate public opinion, spread disinformation, and artificially create an impression of support or opposition. The aim of the research is to understand how these methods work and how they could affect voters in Latvia.
