Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced that Russian air defense forces had repelled a massive drone attack on Moscow over the past day, destroying 84 drones. According to him, there were no casualties or destruction.
Sobyanin began reporting the attack at 3 a.m. Earlier on Monday evening, June 22, he had stated that about 60 drones were targeting Moscow, prompting restrictions at Moscow airports.
On the night of June 18, Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya, causing a large fire. Russian media called it the largest attack in two years, and residents in some areas complained of an "oil rain."
