A 33-year-old woman injured in a Russian attack on railway infrastructure in Sumy region on June 12 has died in hospital. Medics fought for her life for almost a day but failed to save her.

A 33-year-old woman who was wounded in a Russian strike on railway infrastructure in the Sumy region on June 12 has died in hospital, according to the head of the regional military administration, Oleh Hrihorov.
Hrihorov stated on social media that doctors fought for the woman's life for nearly a day, but were unable to save her. She had sustained extremely severe injuries.
Earlier reports indicated that during the night of June 12, a massive Russian shelling of the Shostka community in the Sumy region resulted in the death of one woman and injuries to another. The injured woman later succumbed to her wounds in the hospital.
