Cloudy, rainy weather forecast for Saturday in Latvia, wind to strengthen on coast

The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC) forecasts that cloudy and rainy conditions will continue across most of the country on Saturday, September 26.

Forecasters say precipitation is expected for much of the day, with thick cloud cover dominating the sky. This pattern will affect both inland areas and major regional centers, meaning residents across Latvia should expect a damp, overcast day.

Stronger wind along the coast

Coastal regions deserve particular attention, as winds are expected to pick up there in addition to the rain. This means conditions along the seaside may be somewhat harsher than inland, and anyone heading to beaches or coastal towns is advised to factor this into their plans.

Inland, conditions will be broadly similar across regions — cloudy and rainy, without major differences from one area to another. LEGMC does not anticipate significant changes in the coming days, so rainy and, in places, windy weather could persist for some time.

Meteorologists recommend keeping an eye on updated forecasts, particularly those planning to be near the sea or in coastal areas, where stronger winds could create additional inconvenience or risk for activities on the water and along the shore.
