Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Serbia for his first official visit, an event observers describe as symbolic given Serbia's traditionally close ties with Russia.

During the visit, the two presidents agreed on the terms of a new package of Serbian humanitarian aid for Ukraine ahead of another difficult winter.

Mutual support for territorial integrity

At a joint press conference, Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine still does not recognize Kosovo's independence and continues to support Serbia's territorial integrity.

In response, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that Serbia upholds the United Nations Charter and UN resolutions, which means Serbia supports the territorial integrity of all UN member states, including Ukraine.

Zelensky noted that the two countries are developing all possible forms of cooperation aimed at giving their people, cities and communities greater resilience and a stronger ability to cope with the challenges of the war.
