At least two killed in Toronto street festival shooting
A shooting at a street festival in Toronto has left at least two people dead and several injured. The suspects are still at large.

At least two people have been killed and several others wounded in a shooting at a street festival in Toronto, Canada. Police received reports of an active shooter on St Clair Avenue at around 20:12 local time, where a salsa festival was underway.
Upon arrival, officers found six victims with gunshot wounds. Two were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have secured the area but urged the public to avoid the vicinity, as a large police presence will remain. The suspect or suspects have not yet been apprehended.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford condemned the "senseless violence" at the salsa festival, which he confirmed had claimed two lives and injured others. In a statement on X, he called for the perpetrator to be caught and brought to justice, saying they should "spend the rest of their life behind bars." Ford thanked first responders and expressed his thoughts for the victims, their families, and all those affected.
