Samsung is expected to host its summer Galaxy Unpacked event, likely in London on July 22, according to rumors. The company will probably unveil new foldable phones, wearables, and smart glasses. The spotlight is set to be on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Android XR smart glasses.

The foldable lineup may see significant changes. One model, possibly called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, is rumored to be a high-end device with a less visible crease, a 200-megapixel camera, and 45W charging. Additionally, a wider Fold model could be introduced, featuring a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, resembling a small tablet when opened. It might have only two rear cameras. This wider version could become the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to be lighter at 180 grams and include a new hinge design to reduce the crease. It may revert to a Snapdragon processor after last year's Exynos chip. However, with only incremental upgrades and possible price increases due to memory costs, the Flip 8 might not be a compelling purchase, and rumors suggest Samsung could discontinue the Flip line after this generation.

In wearables, the Galaxy Watch 9 will likely feature minor design updates, a new Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, and new health-tracking features. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected to get a boxier look with thinner bezels and muted accent colors. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch Classic with a rotating bezel may not be updated this year.

A highlight could be the Android XR smart glasses co-developed with Google, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker. These audio-focused glasses feature a Gemini voice assistant and cameras for contextual AI. A second pair with a built-in display is planned for 2027. While the glasses launch in fall, more details on pricing and release date could be revealed at Unpacked.
