Music often enters a person's life unnoticed. It can begin with the first melody a person hears, a first instrument or curiosity about how sound is made. Sometimes such an interest gradually becomes a way of life or a profession.

Samanta Ceruka's musical story began in her school years. Since then, her path in music has led to various projects, concerts and collaboration with other musicians. In the sound of the kokle, a traditional Latvian string instrument, she has found her musical signature.

Passing experience on

Samanta passes her knowledge and experience on to the younger generation. Alongside her work as a teacher, she continues to perform, looks for new challenges and takes up the opportunities that music offers.

Her experience has grown broader over the years. It lets her look at music from several angles: as a personal passion, a profession and a way to inspire others. Teaching now holds an important place in that experience. Each student has their own character, interests and relationship with music.

The interview with Samanta Ceruka was published in the magazine Stars. The full article is available to subscribers.
