However, at the end of August, a fragment containing an explosive charge landed on a beach in the town of Olimp. The beach was evacuated at the time, and the fragment was safely detonated on the shore.

It was also reported that on the night before September 26, Romania scrambled fighter jets in response to an aerial target detected near the country's border. These recurring incidents reflect ongoing tension in the region, linked to the war in neighboring Ukraine, from where drone debris has periodically drifted into Romanian territory.
