Rotherham United have agreed a season-long loan deal for Brentford goalkeeper Julian Eyestone, who stands at 6ft 6ins tall.

The 20-year-old, who is from Texas, is a United States youth international and trained alongside the US senior squad during their World Cup campaign this past summer.

Time at Brentford

Eyestone joined Brentford in 2024. He was named among the substitutes for the club's FA Cup third-round match against Sheffield Wednesday in January. Before that, he had helped Brentford's Under-21 side reach the final of the Premier League Cup, which led to his promotion into the first-team squad a year ago.

Battle for the number one shirt

Rotherham are currently playing in League Two following relegation last season, and are hoping to secure an immediate promotion back up. Eyestone will now compete with Ted Cann to become the club's first-choice goalkeeper.

The Millers begin their new league campaign away at Cheltenham Town on Saturday.
