Riga Airport is currently rebuilding its fourth apron, with construction now 40 percent complete. Details on the project's progress were shared on the LSM program "Let's Discuss It in the Evening."

The project involves laying several hectares of concrete surface, with total costs estimated in the tens of millions of euros. The work is scheduled to be finished next year.

Once the reconstruction is complete, Riga Airport will be able to receive and service a greater number of large cargo and military aircraft than it currently can. This will expand the airport's capacity to handle heavy and specialized planes.

The scale and complexity of the works point to a significant step in developing aviation infrastructure, reflecting the growing regional need for modern facilities capable of handling larger aircraft.
