Riga holds «Safe Riga» photo orienteering game on how to act in a crisis
A photo orienteering game called «Safe Riga» in Riga let residents test their knowledge of crisis preparedness. Visitors also helped weave a camouflage net that will be sent to Ukraine.
The Latvian capital, Riga, hosted a photo orienteering game called «Safe Riga» (Droša Rīga), intended to make residents think about how to act in a crisis. The idea behind the event is that in an emergency, the readiness of the responsible services matters, but so does whether each person knows what to do.
During the game, residents could test their knowledge and learn how to prepare in good time. The topics ranged from shelters and a 72-hour emergency bag to a family action plan.
Camouflage net for Ukraine
In addition to the game, visitors could take part in making a camouflage net by weaving into it a piece of fabric they had brought along. The net made together at the event will be sent to Ukraine.
