Riga women's football club loses third-place match in Champions League qualifying
Latvian women's club Riga lost 1:4 to Lithuania's Šiauliai Gintra in a third-place match in Kēge, Denmark on Saturday, ending their UEFA Champions League qualifying campaign without a spot in the Europa Cup.

The Latvian women's football club Riga was defeated on Saturday in the third-place match of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Women's Champions League, held in the Danish city of Kēge.
Riga lost 1:4 to the Lithuanian club Šiauliai Gintra in the deciding match for third place in their qualifying group.
With this defeat, the Latvian side missed out on the chance to continue their European season in the UEFA Europa Cup, bringing their run in this year's qualifying to an end at the second round stage.
