Fuel company Neste has opened a new automated car wash in Riga, located at the intersection of Vienības gatve and Graudu iela. This marks the fourth Neste Easy Wash location in Latvia, joining existing sites in Riga and Ventspils.

According to Ieva Spicberga, head of Neste Latvia's car wash business, the company intends to keep expanding. A new Easy Wash location is planned soon for the Imanta district, along with another tunnel-style car wash in Riga. Among the current stations, the one on Lubānas iela remains the most popular.

Subscription valid at all locations

Customers who have purchased a Neste Easy Wash subscription will be able to use it at the new car washes as well. Spicberga notes that a night subscription offers better value, as it is designed for use outside peak traffic hours.

What to keep in mind when washing in the tunnel

Since several vehicles can be inside the wash tunnel at the same time, drivers must follow the usage rules — otherwise the conveyor system may stop. During washing, the handbrake must be released, while Tesla and Mercedes vehicles need to activate a special car-wash mode.

Neste Easy Wash facilities do not use traditional bristle brushes but rather elements with a wide contact surface, which the company says are gentler on a vehicle's body. During each wash cycle, a special shampoo also cleans the washing elements themselves.

According to Spicberga, customer preferences shift with the seasons — in winter, the most powerful wash program is the most popular, while in dry weather drivers tend to prefer the contactless program.
