Cyclist Dies in Collision on A. Deglava Street in Riga; Police Seek Witnesses
The State Police are looking for witnesses to a road accident on A. Deglava Street in Riga, where one of two cyclists died after a collision on 28 August. The cyclist struck a passing bus, police said.

The State Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed a fatal road accident on A. Deglava Street in Riga. At around 5:30 p.m. on 28 August this year, one of two cyclists was injured in a collision and died.
What happened
According to the police, the incident took place on the left-hand pavement of A. Deglava Street, near building No. 39, in the direction of Nīcgales Street. An unidentified cyclist caused a collision with another cyclist riding in the same direction.
Both cyclists fell as a result. One of them struck a bus travelling past in the opposite direction, sustained injuries and died.
What police are asking
The State Police, who are investigating the circumstances, are urging anyone who saw the accident or has information about how it unfolded to come forward. Police also note that the other cyclist has not yet been identified.
