Three Latvian forwards in the American Hockey League (AHL), the second-highest professional hockey level in North America after the NHL, were on the losing side. Anri Ravinskis had two assists as the Abbotsford Canucks built a three-goal lead, but the team still lost in a shootout. Locmelis and Tralmaks did not register points in their games.

Abbotsford Canucks lose in a shootout

Abbotsford fell 4-3 in a shootout away to the Colorado Eagles. In the second period Ravinskis assisted Jimmy Schuldt and Vilmer Alriksson within 23 seconds, putting the team ahead 3-0. These were the Latvian's first two points in assists this season. He did not score and took no penalty minutes.

Colorado started its comeback through Adam Beckman on a power play. Taylor Makar cut the deficit to one goal in the second period, and Gavin Brindley made it 3-3 in the third. After a scoreless overtime, the winner was decided in the shootout. The Canucks converted just one of eight power plays.

Locmelis and Providence Bruins lose at home

The Providence Bruins, for whom Dans Locmelis plays, lost 2-0 at home to the Hartford Wolf Pack. The Latvian center had three shots on goal but no points, and his plus-minus rating was −2. In the fourth minute of the second period he was given a two-minute penalty for tripping.

Glenn Gawdin put Hartford ahead in the middle of the first period, and Justin Dowling scored into an empty net 11 seconds before the end. Goaltender Callum Tung stopped all 28 shots. The Bruins failed to convert any of their seven power plays.

Tralmaks and Bakersfield Condors fall to Calgary

The Bakersfield Condors, for whom Eduards Tralmaks plays, lost 2-1 away to the Calgary Wranglers. The Latvian forward had two shots on goal, recorded no points, and his plus-minus rating was −1. Calgary scored both goals in the second period: first Connor Zary, then Ben Jones on a power play. Quinn Hutson narrowed the gap in the third period, but Bakersfield did not find an equalizer.
