RAKUS pathologist Miķelis Pūķis awarded European Society of Pathology scholarship
A pathologist at Riga East Clinical University Hospital has received a European Society of Pathology scholarship that will let him spend two months next year furthering his knowledge in the Czech Republic.

A doctor-pathologist at the Pathology Centre of Riga East Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS), Miķelis Pūķis, has been awarded a scholarship from the European Society of Pathology, the hospital announced.
The scholarship will give him the opportunity to spend two months next year deepening his professional knowledge in the Czech Republic.
The award allows the RAKUS specialist to gain international experience in the field of pathology outside Latvia. It reflects recognition of the professional standing of Latvian medical specialists abroad and offers a chance to learn new methods that can later be applied in daily hospital practice at home.
