Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, representing the United List party, has stated that he has an idea for the optimal implementation of the Rail Baltica railway project. However, he is not yet willing to disclose this idea, as it still needs to be discussed with relevant experts. This cautious approach indicates a desire to thoroughly prepare before making decisions.

Meanwhile, Estonia has expressed dissatisfaction with Latvia's progress on the project. Estonia's state controller warned that Latvia's delays in developing Rail Baltica will incur additional costs not only for Latvia but also for Estonia itself. The state controller noted that Estonia will have to bear part of the extra expenses due to Latvia's slow pace. This situation underscores the need for more effective coordination among the Baltic states in implementing such a large-scale infrastructure project.
