Tears of Joy: Latvian Photographer Agnija Grigule Gets Engaged in Paris

Latvian photographer and creative entrepreneur Agnija Grigule is engaged. Her partner Kristaps proposed in Paris, a city he once dismissed as a romantic cliché. In an interview with the magazine "Kas Jauns," Kristaps explained that his view changed after working with Parisian brands and discovering the city's deeper appeal. Paris also plays a significant role in Agnija's photography career, making it the natural setting for the proposal.

Kristaps revealed that the proposal was meticulously planned to keep Agnija completely in the dark. He pretended the trip was just another business visit to Paris. Judging by her tears of joy, the surprise was a success.

The couple has been together for four years, but Kristaps said he knew from the very first day that Agnija was the woman he wanted to marry. The engagement ring was chosen without difficulty, as both share a preference for classic values.

Agnija recently opened a new photo studio, "La Rouge," in Riga. The pair first met a decade ago. Kristaps recalled being drawn to her unique personality, noting that she lives in her own world of fantasy. While many may not understand her, he has always been fascinated by her imagination and talent.

He described the moment he realized he wanted to spend his life with her: he was won over by her blunt honesty, loyalty, and courage to defend those close to her. "I know I can trust this woman," he said.

Kristaps believes that their differences are the greatest asset of their relationship. They are very different people, and that is their greatest strength. They allow each other to broaden their perspectives and become better versions of themselves. He added that she brings beauty and joy into his reality.
