Head of Polish President's Chancellery Criticizes Government Over Possible Zelenskyy Absence at Recovery Conference
Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the Polish president's chancellery, stated that President Zelenskyy's absence at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk would prove the Polish government's incapacity, accusing the government of shirking responsibility.

Zbigniew Bogucki, the head of the Polish president's chancellery, has criticized the government over its handling of the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference, suggesting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's potential absence would demonstrate the government's failure.
Speaking to RMF FM radio on Wednesday, Bogucki said he had information, though unconfirmed, that Zelenskyy would not attend the conference in Gdańsk. He emphasized that the presidential camp is not involved in the process and that the government bears full responsibility.
"It turns out they cannot handle these matters. It was like that both before the president revoked the order and, apparently, after," Bogucki said. He added that the government would likely try to attribute Zelenskyy's absence to the revocation of the order, calling this an "evasion of responsibility."
Bogucki also noted that when Western leaders discussed reconstruction plans for Ukraine, neither Prime Minister Donald Tusk nor Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski were present at the conference. "Let them not excuse themselves by saying it's a reaction to the revocation of the order," he stated.
Earlier, government spokesman Adam Szłapka said there were no signals that Zelenskyy would not come to the conference and expressed surprise at the discussion about the lack of an invitation for the Polish president.
The conference, scheduled to take place in Gdańsk, aims to address Ukraine's reconstruction plans.
