Polish defence minister orders declassification of military aid to Ukraine
Poland's Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has ordered the declassification of all military aid to Ukraine from 2022 to 2026, responding to opposition allegations of secret Patriot missile transfers.

Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced on X (Twitter) that, after consulting with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he has ordered the declassification of all donations to Ukraine for the years 2022-2026. The minister noted that the process of providing military aid was initiated by the previous PiS government under then-defence minister Mariusz Błaszczak, and that the president – currently Karol Nawrocki and previously Andrzej Duda – was kept informed of each transfer.
Kosiniak-Kamysz also instructed the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW) to investigate who intentionally sought to disclose state secrets. "We are operating in conditions of war at our border; every action against Polish national interest endangers the security of Polish women and men," he wrote.
The minister's statement came in response to opposition accusations that the government had secretly transferred Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine. Krzysztof Bosak, deputy speaker of the Polish Sejm and leader of the Confederation party, claimed on 4 July that in March the government transferred expensive and difficult-to-procure Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine without informing the Sejm. He stressed that Poland had purchased these missiles from the US to build a multi-layered air defence system and that they are the only ones in the Polish arsenal capable of intercepting Russian Iskander missiles.
Recently, the Polish defence minister also said that Ukraine withdrew from an agreement under which Poland would transfer MiG-29 fighter jets in exchange for access to drone technologies.
