Shure MV7 Plus Podcasting Microphone Now Almost $50 Cheaper
US retailers are selling the Shure MV7 Plus USB microphone for $255, nearly $50 below its usual price. That is only a few dollars above Amazon's all-time low.
Technology site The Verge reported on November 6 that the Shure MV7 Plus, a microphone popular with streamers and podcasters, is on sale. Several US retailers, including Amazon, Guitar Center and Shure itself, currently list it at $255.
That is almost $50 below the usual price and just a few dollars above Amazon's lowest price ever for the model. For buyers without a stand, Amazon and Shure offer a bundle of the microphone and a desktop stand for $269. Amazon's discount also covers the white model.
What the model offers
The MV7 Plus is an updated version of Shure's popular USB microphone. It has a USB-C port, a customizable LED light panel and several extra features available in the Motiv Mix app.
When The Verge's team shared favorite audio gear in late 2024, it noted that this was the mic it sends to podcast guests for remote interviews. The outlet describes it as having crisp, clean sound with auto-leveling and denoising, so it can be used without touching an equalizer.
The MV7's shape and sound profile are inspired by the Shure SM7B, a microphone often used in professional recording, which is also discounted. The MV7 Plus is meant as a more budget-friendly option for content creators who want a simpler setup. It has both an XLR output and USB-C, so it can connect to an audio interface or directly to a computer.
