Kristīne, missing for 16 years near Rēzekne river, subject of new search effort

Kristīne Volkova disappeared on March 26, 2010, less than two months after celebrating her ninth birthday. A new search launched

Sixteen years after Kristīne vanished, the organization Bezvēsts.lv has decided to organize a new search effort, hoping to find answers about what happened to the girl. The decision to resume the search has renewed interest in a case that has weighed on Kristīne's relatives and on the community in and around Rēzekne for years.
