Evacuation Vehicles for Wounded Ukrainian Soldiers Displayed at Freedom Monument
From December 12 to 14, six specialized medical evacuation vehicles used by the Ganta Fund to transport wounded Ukrainian soldiers from front-line areas will be exhibited at the Freedom Monument in Riga.

Exhibition Purpose and Organizer
The foundation "Ganta Fund" will open an exhibition on Friday, December 12, at the Freedom Monument in Riga, featuring six medical evacuation vehicles. Since May 2025, the fund has been using these vehicles to evacuate wounded Ukrainian military personnel from front-line zones. To date, approximately 3,500 wounded have been evacuated, and the operation runs continuously – 24 hours a day, often under shelling and drone threats.
Contribution of Latvian Volunteers
Latvian volunteer drivers also participate in the missions, traveling to Ukraine and spending up to 30 days there. Their work provides significant support to the Ukrainian armed forces and demonstrates Latvia's practical assistance during the war.
Additional Exhibition Details
At certain times, coordinated with responsible authorities, the vehicles may have their emergency lights activated, giving the public a more realistic impression of their daily operations.
Call to the Public
The organizers hope the exhibition will not only inform about Latvia's aid but also highlight security threats in the region and promote public preparedness. It is also an opportunity to attract donations to continue this vital evacuation project.
