Party "Stabilitātei!" loses state funding
The party "Stabilitātei!", led by Belarus-based politician Aleksejs Rosļikovs, failed to secure enough votes in the 15th Saeima elections to continue receiving state funding. The party had previously been one of the larger recipients of budget support.

The party "Stabilitātei!" ("For Stability!"), led by politician Aleksejs Rosļikovs who resides in Belarus, has lost the right to continue receiving funding from the state budget. The reason is insufficient voter support in the most recent Saeima elections.
Under Latvia's Law on Financing of Political Organizations (Parties), state budget funding may only be granted to a party or party alliance that received support from more than 2% of voters in the last Saeima election. This funding is intended to cover a party's office and staff upkeep, substantive activities such as seminars, congresses, conferences, research, surveys and youth organization events, as well as communication with the public, including political campaigning.
In the 14th Saeima elections, "Stabilitātei!" received 6.88% of the vote, which secured its right to state funding. This year the party has been allocated a total of 550,498 euros from the state budget.
However, in the 15th Saeima elections the party's support dropped to just 1.997% — below the legally required 2% threshold. As a result, "Stabilitātei!" will lose the ability to receive state budget funds to support its operations going forward.
