Party Urges Votes by Promising Lies That Bring Laughter

A humor column in the magazine Ir features a series of political jokes, including a party's plea to vote for them because their lies make people laugh.

In a humorous publication, a party makes an appeal to voters: we also lie, but many people find our lies funny, so vote for our party, at least life will be fun.

The same column includes a Kremlin statement that the gasoline shortage in the country is due to its use in blocking foreign websites and apps. It also suggests that the gasoline deficit has helped solve the road repair problem – there is no longer a need to fix roads.

Another humorous element: long queues for fuel in Russia now also offer marriage registration services.

In a dialogue, someone watches football and supports the team whose goal is on the left, but when the sides are swapped after halftime, they lose interest. Finally, a question is asked why most professors and academics are bald, with the answer: what else can you expect when your head has been regularly patted since first grade.
